Early on Saturday morning, eight UBUCers headed down to Swanage pier for some diving in non-freezing temperatures. Chris, our resident fish, did four dives to train some ODs and SDs, so diving started quickly as Chris loses his powers if he stays on land for too long.

The depth was between one and four metres so deco stops were put out of our minds and instead we focused on the plethora of life under the pier. During the day we enjoyed the company of lobsters, spider crabs, edible crabs, cuckoo wrasse, ballan wrasse, pollock and even a nudibranch or two.

Everyone got at least two dives in and our surface intervals were spent sunbathing on the pier and getting very brunt for some, so all in all it was a good day of diving.
