Join Us! Joining UBUC is by far the cheapest way to learn and dive. This page lists what you\u2019ll need to start diving with us. There are up to two memberships to buy, plus a training pack if you are training with us. We also recommend following our Instagram page @ubuc_diving and joining our mailing list<\/a>.<\/p>\n

What You\u2019ll Need<\/h2>\n

UBUC Membership<\/h3>\n

UBUC Membership is used by the club to pay for purchasing and servicing of our own equipment. You can purchase UBUC Membership from the Bristol SU website<\/a>. This costs \u00a350.<\/p>\n

Diving Qualification<\/h3>\n

If you are new to diving or want to continue your training with us, see the Learn To Dive<\/a> or Already Qualified<\/a> pages for more information.<\/p>\n

BSAC Membership<\/h3>\n

The British Sub-Aqua Club is the governing body for underwater activities in the UK. It provides its members with third-party insurance coverage. All UBUC members need to be members of BSAC before they can take part in any diving activities.<\/p>\n

BSAC membership and medical forms can be completed via the BSAC website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Personal Scuba Gear<\/h3>\n

We ask all our members to have some personal gear, as the club cannot cater for all sizes and builds. More information can be found in the Equipment You Need<\/a> guide.<\/p>\n

We can provide the rest of the gear you need to dive at very cheap prices, see the Equipment We Have<\/a> guide.<\/p>\n
