well upwind of the compressor exhaust and in clear fresh air and ensure that it cannot drop into water. Place
well away from the compressor and the clubs
away from both. Site full and empty cylinders piles away from compressor and fuel

                        and commence charging

The compressor should operate at a rate of 10cfm, this works out at 100bar if 2 10 liter cylinders are attached every 7 mins. Cylinders are normally connected in pairs and the procedure is to open cylinder valves on the empty tanks in advance to check for leaks. When changing close the cylinder valves on the full cylinders and open the whip valves on the empty cylinders, this changes the tanks over and also drains the whips so there is less pressure to purge against. Then close the whip valves on the filled cylinders and purge to remove. If
is missing or damaged then replace it.
. The compressor is noisy so should be worn.

Nitrox tanks must be filled using the
. This filter has a maximum flow rate that is substantially less than that of the compressor so if it is used other cylinders must also be filled at the same time. If in doubt refuse to fill the cylinder.

The compressor can be stopped at any time by turning the
to off but better practise is to open
